아시아 금융 허브를 꿈꾸는 부산국제금융센터(BIFC) 최상층에 홍콩의 ‘BMI 그룹’ 등 외국계 금융사 6곳이 들어온다.

부산시는 BIFC 63층에 조성된 ‘D-스페이스 BIFC’의 우선 입주대상으로 4개국 6개의 금융사를 유치했다고 9일 밝혔다. ‘D-스페이스 BIFC’의 D는 ‘데카콘’의 약자로, ‘기업가치가 100억 달러 이상인 기업’을 뜻한다. 이곳은 BIFC가 지어진 2014년 이래 6년간 줄곧 비어있었다.

Busan City announced on the 9th that it had attracted six financial companies from four countries as priority tenants for 'D-Space BIFC', which was built on the 63rd floor of BIFC. The D in 'D-Space BIFC' is an abbreviation for 'Decacon' and means 'a company with a corporate value of more than $10 billion.' This place has been empty for six years since BIFC was built in 2014.

이들 기업은 내년에 사무소 형태로 BIFC에 입주한다. 이후 사업인가 등 예비활동을 거쳐 3년 정도의 기간 내에 별도 법인을 설립하고 부산에서 다양한 경제활동을 벌이게 된다. ‘한국씨티은행’은 서울의 법인과는 별도로 홍콩에서 직접 들어와 외화증권의 예탁결제서비스를 담당할 예정이다. ‘후오비 인도네시아’는 블록체인 관련 R＆D와 블록체인 서비스 사업을 지원한다.
